Call for Proposals from Muralists
Macon Arts Alliance is calling muralists to submit proposals for a public mural project made possible by the Downtown Challenge, a project of the Community Foundation of Central Georgia. Three artists will be selected to produce consecutive murals in twelve 12’ x 14’ sections of a 264’+ exterior wall. These paintings will provide an aspect of an interactive experience for the community and display uplifting and positive imagery for the citizens of Macon Georgia. The interactive aspect can be spontaneous in the creation of the mural during designated times and not a continuous activity during the life of the painting on the wall.
All applications will be review by a jury of an art advisory committee that represents a cross section of Art Professionals from Macon including administrators, educators and artists.
